Fixture Repair & Installation
Studies show that dripping faucets and leaking toilets account for as much as 14% of all indoor water use, equivalent to 10 gallons per person of water lost per day.
Toilets alone account for almost 30% of all indoor water use, more than any other fixture or appliance. Older toilets (installed prior to 1994) use 3.5 to 7 gallons of water per flush and as much as 20 gallons per person per day. Replacing an old toilet with a new lower flush model may save a typical household 7,900 to 21,700 gallons of water per year, which conserves water and reduces your bill.
Leak Detection Specialists
In the past, conventional methods of detecting a leak meant hit-and-miss, digging and jack hammering of floors, driveways and landscaping or destructive and invasive demolition of walls.
McLay's certified technicians use state-of-the-art equipment to electronically detect concealed leaks. By sensing acoustical vibrations with a special microphone and amplifying device, we find the precise location of the leak and provide you with an accurate and economical solution.
Video Inspection Specialists
Slow draining pipes and clogs can be a recurring problem. The cause may be deep within the pipe itself and go undiagnosed until a major problem arises.
Video Inspection shows the exact problem, whether it's a root intrusion or crushed, cracked, misaligned pipes. A video camera inspection service is the most effective and non-invasive method available to locate suspected problem areas within drain lines.
- Visually shows condition of drain lines
- Locates point of repair
- Non-invasive and safe for all pipes
Hydro-Jetting Specialists
Hydro-Jetting uses high water pressure to clear any drain blockage and clean the inside of the drain pipes at the same time.
Unlike cable type systems that bore a hole in the clogged area and almost never clean to the full opening of a pipe, the hydro-jetter cleans the sidewalls, leaving your pipes in the best condition since they were new.
Combined with a video inspection, hydro-jetting is the most complete pipe refurbishing available without the expense of copper repiping.
Tankless Water Heaters
Installing a tankless water heater can save you energy and money.
Tankless water heaters require no pilot light and provide hot water only as it is needed without the use of a storage tank. They don't produce the standby energy losses associated with traditional tank water heaters. You can save about half the cost of your current water heating bill since there is no re-heating of water as there is with the traditional tank water heaters commonly found in homes today.
Tankless water heaters are much more eco-friendly and produce less carbon dioxide than a traditional water heater. To put this into perspective, the amount of carbon dioxide reduction achieved by switching to a single "Energy Efficient" tankless water heater is equivalent to planting approximately 50 eucalyptus trees.
Most tankless water heaters have a life expectancy of more than 20 years. In contrast, storage water heaters last approximately 10-15 years.
Tankless water heaters make sense for the environment and your wallet.
